- What are the warranty terms in writing?Get the years, what is covered, what is not, and what a service call costs in year three.
- Will they quote room by room?A single lump sum hides where the money goes. A line item quote lets you cut scope instead of quality.

How much does home automation cost for a 3 BHK in Mumbai?
Around ₹5 lakh for a complete, high quality system. Bedrooms are ₹80,000 to ₹1 lakh each. A living or media room is ₹1.5 lakh to ₹2 lakh because it has more circuits, often several ACs and fans, plus media. Guest rooms and low use spaces can be kept minimal to control the total.
What does one room cost?
₹80,000 to ₹1 lakh for a typical 150 sq ft bedroom, including configuration and programming. That covers the lighting drivers for every light in the room, motorised curtains on a 4 to 5 ft window, smart switches at the bedside and entrance, an AC and fan controller, and the home's hub. Pricing is component driven, so you only pay for what you automate.
Do I need a hub, and is it one per room?
You need one, and it is one per home rather than one per room. It coordinates lighting, curtains, climate and switches, and it is what keeps everything running whether your internet is up or down.
How much more do smart switches cost than normal ones?
Smart switches are roughly 25 to 30 per cent more than the standard switches you would fit anyway. It is usually the best value line item in the whole system.
Will you have to break my walls?
No. The system is wireless, so there is no chasing, rewiring or repainting. That is what makes it practical for homes that are already finished and occupied.
What happens if my internet goes down?
Everything keeps working. The hub processes locally, so scenes, lighting, curtains and locks are unaffected. Only remote access from outside the home pauses until the connection returns.
