IR and RF Controllers

IR and RF Controllers

Two signals for two kinds of devices, infrared for your AC, TV and remote-based appliances, and RF for BLDC fans, so nothing gets left out just because it didn't come with Wi-Fi built in.

Air conditioning, television and BLDC fans

The remotes in the drawer, on the same system as the lights

Two signal types for two kinds of device, so the things in your home that came with their own remote join the same system as everything else.

One blaster, a whole room
A single IR blaster can control the television, the air conditioner and the media system at once
Finds the AC by itself
An automatic air conditioner search runs on power-on
Built for BLDC fans
RF controllers are made for brushless motors specifically, not standard induction fans
Everything becomes a scene
Once connected, every device joins scenes, schedules and voice control

Two Signals, Two Kinds of Devices

Not every appliance speaks the same language. Most ACs, TVs and remote-based appliances respond to infrared, the same direct line-of-sight signal as the remote that already came in the box. Fans don't use infrared at all, the ones worth automating run on RF instead. AHA bridges both, so whichever signal your appliance already uses, it comes into the same smart home system.

IR Blasters

An IR blaster is a small hardware transmitter that emits invisible pulses of infrared light, the same kind your existing remote already sends. It needs a direct line of sight between the transmitter and the receiver on the device it's controlling, exactly like pointing a physical remote. One IR blaster isn't limited to a single appliance either, it can connect to multiple devices in the same room at once: a TV, an AC, a media system, even a fan if it happens to run on IR.

Once connected, it runs an automatic AC unit search the moment it's powered on, and every device it controls becomes part of your scenes, schedules and voice commands instead of living on its own separate remote.

RF Controllers

RF is for one specific job: fans, specifically BLDC fans, not the standard induction fans most homes already have. BLDC stands for brushless direct current, an advanced motor design that uses permanent magnets and an electronic circuit to switch the current, instead of the physical carbon brushes a standard motor relies on. That's what makes them so quiet, and why they use up to 60 to 65% less power than a standard induction motor. AHA's RF controller brings these fans onto the same schedules, scenes and voice commands as your lights and AC.

The point of it

Why it matters

Most homes have appliances that don't naturally connect to a smart system, whether that's an AC on infrared or a ceiling fan that never came with an app. IR and RF controllers bring them into the fold, so everything works together instead of separately. They reduce the need for multiple remotes, add consistency to how your home functions, and make everyday control simpler and more intuitive. Bringing ACs, TVs and fans into the same system as lighting, locks and sensors is what turns individual upgrades into a complete whole home automation system, or a fully bespoke luxury home automation build for larger residences. AHA's home automation services cover the design, commissioning and ongoing support behind that integration. Theatre Mode is this product doing its most visible job, turning on the TV and settling the AC in one command. Controllers run through the Smart Hub and are usually paired with smart switches.
