Grand Welcome is a routine designed around what happens when someone walks into the home. Instead of simply unlocking the door, the home recognises who has arrived and responds accordingly.
The lock knows who's home
With face unlock built into the smart lock, the system can identify individual members of the household and trigger personalised experiences for them. When the homeowners arrive in the evening, for example, the lock can recognise them and activate the living room based on the time of day, opening the curtains, bringing the AC on and setting the lights to a warm, comfortable level that's perfect for winding down after a long day.
The same principle can extend to every member of the family. When the children arrive home, the system can recognise them and activate their bedrooms, preparing their personal spaces as they walk in. Each member of the home can have their own set of responses, preferences and scenes.
The experience can also change throughout the day. A morning arrival may simply open the curtains and let natural light in, without turning on the lights or AC. An evening arrival can create a warmer, more relaxed atmosphere, while a late-night arrival can trigger a softer, quieter setting.
