A curtain motor isn't a new invention. It's the same motorised channel that's been quietly opening and closing curtains and blinds for many years, reliable, well understood hardware. What AHA adds is the smart layer on top: control it from the app, a voice command, or a schedule, instead of only a switch or a manual pull.
Once it's connected, the motor becomes part of your daily automation instead of something you operate by hand. Build it into an experience, or schedule it to open and close at set times through the day. A common setup: curtains open at a set time each morning to let sunlight into the house, then close again later in the evening. Timed around daylight like this, a room can lean on natural light for longer before any lamp needs to switch on.
Quieter, and It Talks Back
At 27 decibels, it runs quieter than some of the best names in the business, Somfy's motors, for comparison, run at 35 decibels. In a bedroom at night, that difference is the whole point.
Most curtain motors only take instructions, they can't tell you anything back. Ours has two-way communication: open the curtain by hand and the keypad updates to reflect exactly where it's sitting, so the app and the physical switch always agree, even after a manual nudge.
Built for the Window You Actually Have
The standard motor handles up to 15ft of width and 80kg of curtain weight, enough for most rooms. For double-height windows, a stronger motor takes the load up to 120 to 150kg. Track layout is flexible too: a 15ft run can open from the centre, or stack to one side, left or right, whichever suits the room.
For bay windows or corners, curved tracks with a 90-degree bend are available. And every motor keeps its manual override: nudge the curtain by hand at any time and it takes over from there.
